Sharwanand’s latest movie Oke Oka Jeevitham opened in theaters last Friday and got a humongous response from viewers. Ritu Varma, Amala Akkineni, Vennela Kishore and Priyadarshi played key roles in this film. As the film scored a massive hit, director Shree Karthick interacted with the media to share his happiness. Here is the transcript.

How are you enjoying the success of Oke Oka Jeevitham?

It took me two years to complete the final script and another year to search for the hero fit for my story. Later, everything got delayed due to the pandemic. So, Oke Oka Jeevitham took 5 years to release. Everyone connected to the story and I am so happy with the grand success of the movie.

Is the film inspired by your mother?

Yes. I thought to show my short film to my mother but she was in coma then. She even didn’t know that I would have become a filmmaker and I regret it.

How did you blend science and emotion?

I like Science and to give audiences a rollercoaster ride, I mixed emotion and science. Everyone liked the movie and I felt happy about that. I wish more sci-fi movies will be made in the coming days.

About Amala Akkineni’s role?

It’s completely my choice to select Amala garu for this role. I narrated her the script and she gave a nod to act in the film immediately.

Tell us about yourself.

I thought to establish a dance school after finishing my Engineering course. Also, I liked to do Masters in choreography. During my school days, I participated in a dance competition, judged by actresses Radhika and Gouthami. They appreciated my dance and expressions. With confidence, I wanted to be an actor but I failed. Later, I decided to write scripts and shot short films. Now, I became a director.

Best compliment you received for OOJ?

Nagarjuna garu became emotional after watching the movie and said that he will consider Sharwanand as his son from now onwards. Akhil also got emotional. Many directors like Maruthi congratulated me after watching the film.

Any future projects?

My next is a Telugu film. I want to make a good movie on a grand scale. I love all the genres and I also have a fantasy genre script. I wished to do my second movie with Allu Arjun and I have to narrate the story. I will announce more details soon.
