Ginna is a film that has caught the imagination of many. The film is up for a release tomorrow and on this occasion, we met Vishnu Manchu’s for a detailed interview. Here is the transcript.
What made you promote Ginna in such an aggressive manner?
I saw the movie with my family, and they were enjoying the film in a crazy manner. My mother and mother-in-law do not like films that easily, but they were clapping all over the second half. Seeing this, I got super confident and decided to take the film deep into the audience.
About comparisons with Dhee?
For some reason, ever since the promos came out, Ginna was being compared to Dhee and said that this film will also be a big hit. If the audience is getting that vibe, I will be super happy and say that the film will surely reach the expectations of everyone.
What are the highlights of the film?
The interval block will shock one and all. The manner in which the second half is narrated, I guarantee that no one will sit in their seats. Chammak Chandra and Vennela Kishore’s comedy will be hilarious and take the film to the next level.
Why have some of your films flopped in recent times?
I have scored most of the hits with action comedies. But for some reason, I started doing films in different genres and made mistakes in judging scripts. I am being very careful now and will not commit such mistakes.
Controversy with the title Ginna?
Ginna is nothing but my character whose name is G Nageswara Rao. Many said that such a title would be controversial. But in the regions of Guntur, G Nageswara Rao is called as Ginna. Once the film releases no one will have any complaints.
Future Productions
I have the rights to at least seven films, and I am going to produce them on my own. I will make a special announcement about this on the 22nd of November. Also, I won’t be acting in these films and will only produce them on a big scale.
Working with director Suryaah?
He is a very good human being and has narrated the film in a superb way. Right from the day he came to me with the story, he has only impressed me, and he will go a long way in his career.
Future projects as an actor?
Sreenu Vaitla’s film has been locked and will go on floors in the month of January. Apart from this, I also have a film with a star director and only when it gets confirmed, I will inform you all.
How are you managing the post of Maa President?
I am going with the flow. I have a very strong team of Siva Balaji and others. The manner in which they are working for the industry is superb. Some of them have also spent their own money for the help of others.
