Jailer 2, headlined by Superstar Rajinikanth, is set to become the highest-grossing Tamil film of all time. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the movie has crossed the Rs. 600 crore mark, according to trade estimates.
However, production house Sun Pictures hasn’t been sharing box-office updates regularly. A week after the film’s release, the makers dropped a collection poster, and their inactivity surprised fans.
Rajinikanth’s PRO Riaz was recently asked about this in an interview. He said, “Many asked why Thalaivar movie’s authenticated box office collections are not shared instantly. Thalaivar only ensures the actors, producers, distributors and audience are happy. He won’t involve in box office numbers. He neither likes to boost them nor makes the producer announce.”
