Sricharan-Pakala
Sricharan Pakala, is the latest sensation who has impressed everyone with his fantastic music score in films like Kshanam and Guntur Talkies. On this occasion, we caught up with the talented musician for an exclusive interview. Let’s see what he has to say.

Q) Both your films are in much news. How do you feel ?

I am very happy with the way things have shaped up in the recent past. My work is being appreciated a lot and this has given me immense happiness and huge confidence to work even more harder in the future.

Q) Did you expect Kshanam to be such a huge hit ?

We were very confident about our product but the response that we have received is just mind blowing. We are actually shocked to see that our film, music and especially the background score has been received so well.

Q) How did you bag Kshanam ?

I made my debut with the film Kiss. I knew Kshanam director Ravikanth Perepu from a long time and got introduced to Adivi Sesh through him. Our association landed me this project.

Q) What difficulties did you face for Kshanam ?

We faced a lot of difficulties for Kshanam. As the film was made in a very small budget, we did not have much tools and equipment to compose the score. Now, that the background score is being appreciated so well, I feel quite blessed.

Q) What kind of efforts went into the making of Kshanam’s music ?

We felt that background score will be the heart and soul of the film. As the suspense is revealed only during the last reel, I had to hold the audience with an intriguing music score. We made a conscious effort that our score should sound international and also be quite new for Tollywood.

Q) Moving on, how did you bag Guntur Talkies ?

Siddhu, the hero of Guntur Talkies introduced me to director Praveen Sattaru in Vizag. I presented him some of my demos after which Praveen asked me to come up with a score. Impressed with few of my samples, he offered me the film.

Q) How was it working for two different films ?

It was quite a difficult task as both the genres were hugely contrasting. For Guntur Talkies, I brought out my commercial angle and kept the mass audience in mind while composing the music.

Q) Tell us about your background ?

I am from Vizag and played guitar for a rock band. I also worked on several short films and social awareness videos. I was always fascinated by music and was hugely inspired by Ilayaraja and A R Rahman during my younger days.

Q) What kind of offers are you getting post these films ?

I am getting pretty good offers off late but am yet to sign a project. Talks are still on and I will only sign a film which will challenge me to give my best.

Q) Finally, a word for all those who loved your work ?

The way audience have appreciated my work especially the background score of Kshanam is a huge moment for me in my life. I want to thank all of them from the bottom of my heart for encouraging a new comer like me.

With that, we ended our interview with Sricharan and wished him the best of luck for his future.
