45 is a Kannada language multistarrer featuring Shiva Rajkumar, Upendra, and Raj B. Shetty in the lead roles. The fantasy action drama marked the directorial debut of singer Arjun Janya. The film hit the screens during Christmas but it didn’t meet expectations.
The movie completed its theatrical run and is now set for its digital premiere. According to the latest update, 45 The Movie will be available for streaming from January 23. ZEE5 holds the post-theatrical streaming rights. There is no update about the dubbed versions yet.
Director Arun Janya’s brother, who died during COVID-19, is said to be the inspiration behind 45’s plot. The movie is about the 45-day period following a person’s death, a phase in Sanatana Dharma believed to determine whether the soul transitions to the afterlife or is reborn. The film is produced by Ramesh Reddy under the Suraj Productions banner.
