Nandamuri Balakrishna launched his new film, tentatively titled NBK112, in Amaravati today. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film was formally launched with Nara Lokesh sounding the clapboard. After the pooja ceremony, Balakrishna said the team is planning to shoot a major schedule in Amaravati and nearby areas.
Speaking about the Telugu film industry, Balakrishna said that nearly 70% of box-office collections come from Andhra Pradesh, while the remaining 30% come from Telangana. He said that since Andhra contributes the larger share of revenues, the state should also see more film shoots and better film infrastructure.
Balakrishna added that he has shot more films in Andhra Pradesh than most other Telugu heroes and expressed hope that more filmmakers would choose the state for their projects. He said this would help create opportunities and support the growth of the film industry in Andhra Pradesh.
NBK112 is expected to go on floors in August 2026 and is scheduled for a Summer 2027 release. The film is jointly produced by SLV Cinemas and Yuvasudha Arts.
