A biopic on Sri Lanka’s legendary spinner Muthaiah Muralidharan was planned long back, starring Vijay Sethupathi. But Vijay Sethupathi dropped from the project due to the outrage of Tamilians who believed the cricketer was against LTTE. Later Vijay Sethupathi was replaced by Slumdog Millionaire fame Madhuur Mittal.
Recently the film’s first look poster was released by the makers. Veteran producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad of Sridevi Movies, who produced films like Aditya 369, Nani’s Gentleman, and Yashoda, has acquired the PAN Indian theatrical rights of the film.
Directed by MS Sripathy, the film is getting a wide theatrical release in October. Vivek Rangachari, under Movie Train Motion Pictures, has produced this flick. Mahima Nambiar is playing a vital role. Ghibran is the music composer.
