When Dhurandhar: The Revenge announced its pan-Indian release, several Telugu films decided to step aside to avoid a box-office clash. One of them is Dacoit, starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur.
The first single from the Shaneil Deo directorial, titled Rubaroo, has been released in both Telugu and Hindi. Along with the romantic track, the makers also confirmed a new release date for the film. Dacoit has now been pushed from March 19, 2026, to April 10, 2026. With the song out, the team has kickstarted musical promotions, and more promotional content is expected to roll out in the coming days.
Bheems Ceciroleo delivers a beautiful melody infused with rustic rhythms, lending his voice alongside Chinmayi Sripada’s soulful vocals. Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar pens heartfelt lyrics that capture a young man’s pure, all-consuming love for his Juliet. The romance is brought alive by the natural spark between Sesh and Mrunal, before her shocking betrayal shatters his happiness and leaves him behind bars.
Sesh and Mrunal share a easy, lived-in chemistry that makes the emotional downfall even more heartbreaking. Their pairing serves as the emotional core of the song. “Rubaroo” also feels like a significant turning point in the film’s narrative.
The romantic revenge crime thriller also features Prakash Raj and Anurag Kashyap in key roles. The music is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo. The film is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, co-produced by Suniel Narang, and presented by Annapurna Studios.
