The heat at the Tamil Nadu box office will be at a different level as two of the biggest Kollywood stars, Thalapathy Vijay and Ajith Kumar, are locking horns the coming Pongal season. The movie teams have already started the promotions. While Varisu’s team has released a couple of songs, Thunivu’s team recently released the first single.
Just a while ago, Thunivu’s USA and UK release date was revealed by Lyca Productions, which is distributing the film there. Accordingly, the film will release in these two countries on 11th January 2023. Generally, the USA premieres would happen a day before the Indian release.
Looking from this perspective, Thunivu’s release date can be assumed as 12th January in India. Already Varisu’s makers are said to be looking for a 12th January release, and this announcement about Thunivu’s US release date has created new confusion among fans. Going by the developments, the films are set to clash on the same date. Let’s see what happens and if someone comes on an alternative date.
