Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu’s Akhanda 2 took a good start at the box office. According to the makers, the sequel collected nearly Rs. 60 crores gross globally, making this divine action entertainer the biggest ever opener for Balayya. The movie made about Rs. 10 crores from premiere shows in the Telugu states, which were screened on Thursday night.
The latest update reveals that Akhanda 2 collected a distributor share of Rs. 5.85 crores (exclusive of GST) in Nizam on the opening day. The numbers are inclusive of paid premiere shows collection. This is a solid opening for a senior hero, and the movie is expected to put up a good show over the weekend.
Akhanda 2 is produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta under the banner of 14 Reels Plus. Samyukta, Harshaali Malhotra, and Aadi Pinishetty played key roles. SS Thaman composed the tunes. Akhanda franchise will continue, and the third installment is titled Jai Akhanda.
