Akhanda 2, Balakrishna’s much-awaited Telugu release, is directed by Boyapati Sreenu. Samyuktha stars as the female lead in this pan-Indian devotional action entertainer.
The film opened on a strong note, crossing Rs. 60 crore gross on day one. Collections continued to rise on the second day, placing the big-ticket release on course to approach the Rs. 100 crore gross mark. Ticket sales on BookMyShow in the last 24 hours alone stand close to 261K, underlining the film’s strong theatrical pull.
Despite negative buzz ahead of release, ticket sales remain unaffected. With Sunday expected to deliver solid numbers, the film’s real test will be its hold during the weekdays and the coming week.
Aadhi Pinisetty, Harshaali Malhotra, Poorna, Kabir Duhan Singh, and others play key roles in the film, which is produced by 14 Reels Plus. Thaman has composed the music, and the makers have also released the film in 3D to enhance the viewing experience.
