Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2: Thaandavam released last Friday and opened to decent reports. Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the devotional action drama has managed to draw audiences despite mixed word of mouth online.
The film showed improved traction over the weekend, with Sunday collections reportedly higher than those of the opening days. In the overseas market, Akhanda 2 has crossed the $750K gross mark in North America and is expected to touch $1 million shortly.
The coming weekdays will be crucial for the film’s box-office run. A steady hold could push the collections beyond initial trade expectations.
The pan-Indian release features Samyuktha, Kabir Duhan Singh, and Aadhi Pinisetty in key roles. The film is produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta, with music composed by Thaman.
