Star heroine Alia Bhatt is set to back a new coming-of-age romantic comedy titled Don’t Be Shy, which will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
The film is being produced under Alia Bhatt’s banner Eternal Sunshine Productions, which she runs along with her sister Shaheen Bhatt. Written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji, Don’t Be Shy is described as a warm, youthful romantic comedy with a strong coming-of-age angle.
The story follows Shyamili “Shy” Das, a 20-year-old woman who believes she has her life planned out, only to see things take unexpected turns, as the film explores themes of self-discovery, identity, and growing up through humour and emotion.
Music for the project is composed by Ram Sampath, while Grishma Shah and Vikesh Bhutani serve as co-producers. The cast details are yet to be announced.
With Don’t Be Shy, Alia Bhatt continues to expand her role as a producer, focusing on content-driven stories aimed at younger audiences.
