Rajinikanth’s upcoming political drama Kaala is set for a wide release in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi on June 7. Directed by Pa Ranjith, the film also has Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, and Anjali Patil in lead roles.
The film has Rajinikanth playing a gangster in Dharavi, Mumbai, and the entire film is about his confrontation with a local politician. For the film’s Hindi version, the makers of Kaala – Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films and Lyca Productions – have joined hands with AA Films, headed by Anil Thadani to release it in North India.
In recent past, Anil Thadani had distributed Baahubali 2 in Hindi and it went on to become a roaring success. Apart from Kaala, AA Films will also be distributing Rajinikanth, Shankar’s 2.0.
