The announcement for the 65th National Film Awards is underway in New Delhi. In a proud moment for the Telugu film industry, India’s biggest blockbuster Baahubali The Conclusion has been awarded the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment award. Baahubali 2 also be won the Best Action Choreography and Best Visual Effects awards.
Also, Rana Daggubati-starrer submarine warfare movie Ghazi has been awarded the Best Regional Film in Telugu. Departed legendary actress Sridevi has been posthumously honored with the Best Actress award for her performance in Mom. AR Rahman has won the Best Music Direction for Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai (Cheliyaa). Riddhi Sen has been chosen for the Best Actor award for Nagarkirtan.
