Manjummel Boys director Chidambaram once again amused audiences with his latest film, Balan: The Boy. Not just the general audience, but the film is even leaving celebrities in awe of it. Recently, star couple Suriya and Jyothika watched the film. Suriya opined that Chidambaram once again proved he is a remarkable filmmaker with Balan: The Boy, and that he is still immersed in the film’s emotional depth.
He said, “Balan: The Boy is another gem from the Malayalam film industry. I congratulate director Chidambaram for bringing Jithu Madhavan’s unique story to life with talented newcomers like Farzana, Adiseshan, and Muhammad Zinan. Tovino Thomas was exceptional as Abbas. Every department- acting, screenplay, cinematography, music, art, and sound has contributed brilliantly to making this an outstanding film. Watching such fresh talent inspires me to become an even better artist. Congratulations to the entire team of Balan: The Boy.”
Jyothika also praised the film, saying, “Director Chidambaram has crafted Balan: The Boy beautifully. Jithu Madhavan’s screenplay keeps the audience constantly engaged and curious about what happens next. By blending innocence and mystery, the team has created a true masterpiece. Farzana was outstanding as a strong female lead; Adiseshan delivered a memorable performance as Sinan, and Tovino Thomas completely disappeared into the character of Abbas, setting aside his star image.”
She added, “Sushin Shyam’s music keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the first half and elevates the emotional moments in the second half. Shyju Khalid’s cinematography transforms every frame into a painting, making the film a complete visual treat. It was an honor to meet the team behind such a wonderful film. Don’t miss watching Balan: The Boy.”
