Stalwart Kollywood actor-filmmaker duo Kamal Haasan and Shankar’s highly-anticipated pan-India social drama, Bharateeyudu 2, is gearing up for its world theatrical release on July 12. The film’s team has been aggressively promoting the movie in India and abroad.
The latest update is that Bharateeyudu 2 wrapped up its censor formalities earlier today. The CBFC has cleared the film with a UA certificate. As reported earlier, the film has a duration of 3 hours. During one of Indian 2’s promotional interviews last week, Kamal Haasan revealed that Shankar had sent him an SMS and told him how the CBFC members were impressed by the film’s Tamil version. Kamal’s revelation raised expectations among fans and trade circles.
Indian 2 (Bharateeyudu 2 in Telugu) also features Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, SJ Suryah, Rakul Preet Singh, Samuthirakhani, and several others in prominent roles. The film’s Telugu version is being released in the Andhra and Nizam regions by Asian Suniel and Suresh Movies. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music.
