Since yesterday, there have been reports on social media that Salman Khan’s Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace could soon see the light of day, with some pages claiming that the CBFC will watch the film next week.
However, an exclusive report in Bollywood Hungama claims that the reports are untrue and that there has been no update about its CBFC screening. It is mentioned that the movie is still stuck due to its China connection. The report went on to state that there is no clarity at the moment regarding when the CBFC will pass the film, despite the makers’ efforts.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the biggie stars Chitrangada Singh as the female lead. The movie was initially named The Battle of Galwan, but due to the government’s insistence, the title and some crucial episodes have been altered.
