While Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge is performing exceptionally well on Netflix in international markets, audiences in India have been eagerly awaiting its arrival on Jio Hotstar. Amid this anticipation, Netflix India made a sudden announcement that left many viewers surprised and confused.
The streaming giant revealed that the raw, uncut (“undekha”) version of the first Dhurandhar film will release in India on May 22, 2026. Since fans are currently focused on the digital release of Dhurandhar 2, many initially assumed the announcement was related to the sequel. However, the update concerns only the first film. Starting tomorrow, that first installment will be available to stream in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil with unfiltered dialogue and intense gore sequences intact.
Adding another twist, Jio Hotstar will also stream this same raw version from tomorrow onward. This confirms that the first Dhurandhar film will be available simultaneously on both Netflix and Jio Hotstar.
Meanwhile, the streaming schedule for Dhurandhar 2 on Jio Hotstar remains completely unchanged and is locked for June 4, 2026. Unlike the raw version of the first film, the sequel will arrive in the standard, censored version that audiences witnessed in cinemas.
