Bollywood film Dirty Picture was released back in 2011. The film was based on the life story of Silk Smitha the actress who was known for her erotic roles and special songs. This Vidya Balan starrer made with a budget of 18 crores is a runaway hit at the box office by collecting about 120 crores.
The hot news in the film circles is that a sequel will be soon out for the film. The buzz is that Ekta Kapoor has been planning for this sequel for a long time and she seems to have okayed a concept finally. Famous screenplay writer Kanika Dhillon has been brought on board to complete the whole script.
The project is expected to go on floors in the initial phase of 2023. It has to be seen whether Vidya Balan will essay the lead role or some other actress would do it.
