Border 2 is the sequel to the 1997 iconic hit Border. Nearly three decades after the first film, the sequel headlined by Action Superstar Sunny Deol, hit the big screens yesterday. Anurag Singh has directed this war action drama.
The movie opened on expected lines at the box office. According to trade estimates, Border 2 collected a little over Rs. 30 crores nett in India on its first day. Border brand value, combined with the evergreen Ghar Kab Aaoge song, helped the film fetch strong numbers.
While the performances and music are being praised, the VFX and war episodes have received criticism. Given the long weekend, Border 2 is expected to post good collections. Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty are also part of this big-budget film.
