Ajay Devgn’s recent release Son of Sardaar 2 tanked at the box office miserably, with critics panning the film heavily. The comedy-drama is a sequel to the superhit entertainer Son of Sardaar. While the first installment was the official remake of the Telugu film Maryadha Ramanna, the second part was an original work.
Son of Sardaar 2 couldn’t find takers in cinema halls, but the movie is getting a very good response on Netflix. The Ajay Devgn starrer is right now trending at the second spot on Netflix India. What’s more interesting is that Son of Sardaar 2 was the most-watched film on OTT in India during September 29 and October 5, with over 3 million views according to a report by Ormax.
Popular cinematographer Vijay Kumar Arora directed this flick. Mrunal Thakur played the female lead. Bankrolled jointly by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande under Devgn Films and Jio Studios, Son of Sardaar 2 also stars Ravi Kishan, Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal, and Chunky Panday in prominent roles.
