Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar released amid decent buzz and opened to around Rs. 28 crores nett on day one. Extraordinary word of mouth worked wonders for the film, with second Saturday collections doubling its opening-day numbers. As per estimates, the movie collected nearly Rs. 55 crores nett yesterday, registering the biggest second Saturday ever in Hindi cinema.

The film’s monstrous weekday trend and gargantuan weekend surge have sent shockwaves across trade circles. Dhurandhar has crossed the $10 million mark at the overseas box office and has already earned over Rs. 300 crores nett in India. The worldwide gross of Dhurandhar now stands around Rs. 450 crores

At this pace, the Ranveer Singh starrer is firmly in the race to emerge as Indian cinema’s biggest grosser of 2025. Currently, the record is held by Kantara: Chapter 1 with over Rs. 800 crores gross worldwide.

However, Dhurandhar has a strong chance of challenging and dethroning the Sandalwood blockbuster’s record to claim the top spot. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun in key roles.
