Mithra Mandali, which hit screens during Diwali 2025, turned out to be a box-office bomb. The film starred Priyadarshi, Rag Mayur, Prasad Behara, and Vishnu Oi in key roles, with Niharika NM making her Tollywood debut as the female lead. Directed by Vijayender S, the comedy drama is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Bunny Vas, who released the film, suffered losses. In a recent interview, he opened up about where the team went wrong. He said, “When I saw the film in the editing room, I felt it was good. Not extraordinary, but I believed it would work. However, when I watched it with the audience, I felt something was off. In certain portions where I expected laughs, the theatre was silent. Around Rs. 6 crores was lost on the film.”
Bunny Vas also revealed that he couldn’t watch the final copy before release, as he visited a temple due to personal sentiments. Mithra Mandali was produced by Kalyan Manthina, Bhanu Pratapa, and Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala, with music composed by RR Dhruvan.
