Akhil Akkineni will next be seen in the rural entertainer Lenin. The film is directed by Murali Kishore Abburu of Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha fame. Bhagyashri Borse plays the female lead. After multiple postponements, the movie was announced for a June 26, 2026 release.
However, according to the latest buzz, the film may not make it to the said date. It is being said that the makers are now considering a July release. The postponement rumors have come as a rude shock to fans who have been eagerly waiting for the film. An official confirmation is still awaited.
Shivaji and Saranya Pradeep play pivotal roles. Naga Vamsi and Nagarjuna are producing the film under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Annapurna Studios, respectively. Thaman is the music composer.
