After almost a gap of one and a half years, actress Sai Pallavi has signed a new Telugu film. Titled Thandel, the film features Naga Chaitanya as the male lead. Thandel had its muhurat ceremony yesterday, and the regular shoot will kick-start on December 15 at a village near Gokarna, Karnataka.
Thandel is being directed by Chandoo Mondeti. In a latest media interaction, Chandoo has opened up about Sai Pallavi’s role in the movie. He revealed that Sai Pallavi plays a rustic woman from Srikakulam and that her character has several shades to it. “Her character is deeply in love with Naga Chaitanya’s character, but she is also stubborn about her rights, and also very fierce at times,” Chandoo said.
The director went on to say that Sai Pallavi attended a special workshop to perfect the Srikakulam dialect. Chandoo also added that he was impressed by the way Sai Pallavi effortlessly aced the new dialect and also her commitment to get under the skin of her character. Thandel is being produced by Bunny Vas in Allu Aravind’s presentation.
