Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya’s romantic drama Chennai Love Story is coming to cinemas on July 24, 2026. Directed by Ravi Namburii, the movie features music by Mani Sharma. The film is being promoted well, and today the makers launched the trailer.
Stephen (Kiran Abbavaram) is a budding filmmaker who aims to make it big in the industry. Unlike most aspiring Telugu directors, he chooses Chennai for his career, believing Kollywood will be the right fit for his tragedy stories.
He comes across a software employee (Sri Gouri Priya) who is a drunkard. Stephen attempts to change her, and they slowly fall for each other. However, their happiness doesn’t last long as some unexpected events shatter their lives. Stephen is not comfortable with the female lead’s broad-mindedness, which triggers conflicts between them.
The trailer promises an intense love story with an underlying layer of tragedy, and in a surprising move, the makers have announced Chennai Love Story as a “Cult Classic” even before its release. Kiran and Sri Gouri Priya share good chemistry, and the background score is neat.
Chennai Love Story is jointly produced by SKN and Sai Rajesh under the Mass Movie Makers and Amrutha Productions banners.
