Vishwak Sen’s much-awaited youthful entertainer, Laila, is gearing up for its theatrical release on February 14 as a Valentine’s Day treat. Starring Akanksha Sharma as the female lead, the film is directed by Ram Narayan and produced by Sahu Garapati under his Shine Screens banner.
In a latest interview, Sahu Garapati described Laila as a “two-hour fun ride.” “We made this movie to entertain audiences nonstop for two hours in theaters. Audiences will definitely enjoy the movie,” said the star producer. Talking about Megastar Chiranjeevi gracing the film’s pre-release event, Sahu Garapati said, “Chiranjeevi garu liked Laila’s trailer a lot. He appreciated Vishwak Sen for attempting a new character.” The producer also added that his next movie with Chiranjeevi under Anil Ravipudi’s direction will go on floors in May or June, and that it will bring back the vintage Chiru.
Talking about Laila again, Sahu said that Vishwak will be seen as Sonu in the first half and then turn Laila in the second half. “The movie has both romance and comedy in equal proportions. There’s also mother sentiment in the story. Family audiences will surely enjoy our movie,” said the producer.
