Megastar Chiranjeevi is not just known for his films. The actor’s philanthropic activities placed him high in Telugu cinema. Megastar has done many activities beneficial to society through his blood bank and inspired youth and his fans to donate blood. The recent incident shows the big heart of Chiru once again.
Ponnambalam, a famous actor who played negative roles in the 1980s and 1990s, has been facing severe health issues. His kidney failed, and the actor wasn’t sure whom to ask for assistance. So he called Chiranjeevi and explained his condition. Chiru, upon learning this, said that Ponnambalam would receive a call from Apollo hospital shortly.
As promised, Ponnambalam received a call and was asked to go and visit the Apollo hospital with his reports. The actor thought that Chiru would help him with one or two lakhs, but to his shock, his entire medical expenses were borne by Megastar himself, which amounted to 45 lakhs. Even the hospital entry fees was not collected from him. In a recent interview, the Tamil actor stated all these details and thanked the Telugu actor for his generosity. This instance is just one more reason to adore Megastar.
