Many big films from Tollywood are failing to meet their release-date deadlines due to lack of planning. Also, some directors are shooting more footage than what is necessary, and these factors have resulted in increased budgets.
In a recent interview, renowned writer Kona Venkat vented his frustration at such directors. “If you shoot for 3 hours and 50 minutes and remove 1 hour and 50 minutes from it, what’s the use of it? Whose money is it? Producers secure money from financiers at the cost of their families. How irresponsibly are some directors spending?” said Kona Venkat.
He added, “Those directors and teams should realize what they are actually doing. Hits and flops are not under their control, but planning surely is. If they also fail to do it, what’s the use? Such directors are like criminals of the industry, and they should be banned.”
