Mollywood Megastar Mammootty was recently seen in Kalamkaval, in which he played a negative role. Now, he has been announced as part of a big Tamil project.

Dhanush’s 55th film as a lead actor was announced recently. The makers earlier revealed Sreeleela and Sai Pallavi as the female leads, and today they announced that Mammootty is also on board. His role and other details are being kept under wraps at the moment. Peranbu (2019) was his last direct Tamil film.

Directed by Amaran fame Rajkumar Periasamy, D55 focuses on unsung heroes who blend into society. Anbuchezhiyan is backing the biggie under the banner of Gopuram Films. Sai Abyankkar will compose the music.
