Nearly nine years after he directed Prasthanam, director Deva Katta is all set to debut in Bollywood with the remake of the same film. Sanjay Dutt and Ali Fazal are playing key roles in the Hindi version, and it also stars Amyra Dastur as Ali Fazal’s romantic interest.

While the film’s shoot was wrapped up a while ago, the makers spent quite a bit of time on the post production and the promotional campaign is on in full swing. Sanjay Dutt applauded Deva Katta for adapting the film in Hindi quite well to suit the sensibilities of the audience in North India, and he stated that it is not a exact copy of the original version.

Talking about his experience of working on the film, Deva Katta said, “I’m lucky to have worked with actors like Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff and Manisha Koirala. These actors never age. Basically, when you throw something at them, in terms of the story, they will give you their best. I don’t think you can imagine any better cast than this. That’s what happened with me for Prasthanam. I am very confident that the people will like our film.” The film is slated for release on September 20.
