Dhanush recently shared the teaser of his upcoming film Kara, and it has impressed his fans. The film is directed by Por Thozhil fame Vignesh Raja, with Mamitha Baiju playing the female lead.
In a recent interview, Vignesh Raja spoke about Dhanush’s role in the film. He revealed that the actor will be seen in a character with grey shades. Kara is an emotionally driven suspense thriller set in the village of Ramanathapuram during the 1990s. Kara is the name of the protagonist, and the story focuses on his journey of guilt and redemption.
The director also mentioned that Mamitha Baiju will be seen in a role that is very different from her usual bubbly image. The film also features KS Ravikumar, Jayaram, and others in important roles. The project is produced by Dr Ishari K Ganesh and co-produced by Kushmitha Ganesh. The makers have locked Summer 2026 for the release, including a Telugu version.
