National award winning Tamil star Dhanush had made his Hollywood debut with a romantic drama, titled ‘The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir’. The film is based on the acclaimed novel ‘The Extraordinary Journey of a Fakir who got Trapped in an Ikea Cupboard’ by Romain Puértolas. After its international release in May last year, the film has finally hit screens in India this morning.

The initial reports are coming in and audiences are loving The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir. Especially, Dhanush’s fans have given a thumbs up for the film’s Tamil version, Paikkiri. Even the English version is getting decent reviews from critics and movie lovers alike. Dhanush’s acting skills in his role of Ajatashatru (Aja) are in for special praise. Going by the word of mouth, the film is expected to open on a positive note at the box-office.
The Extraordinary Journey of a Fakiri is directed by Ken Scott and it also stars several noted Hollywood actors, including Captain Phillips actor Barkhad Abdi.
