Kollywood actor-director Dhanush is currently working on his upcoming directorial, Idly Kadai (Idly Kottu in Telugu). The movie’s unit reportedly escaped a major fire accident on the film’s set on Saturday night.
As per reports, Idly Kadai’s team had wrapped up the film’s latest schedule at a specially erected village street set in Anuppapatti village in Tamil Nadu’s Theni district. However, soon after the unit vacated the premises, a massive fire razed down the entire set. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported during the mishap. Locals quickly alerted the Andipatti fire brigade, which brought the situation under control. The Andipatti police are still investigating the cause of the fire.
Idly Kadai marks Dhanush’s fourth directorial project after Pa Paandi, Raayan, and Nilavukku Enmel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK). The film features Nithya Menen as the female lead and also stars Arun Vijay, Rajkiran, and Samuthirakani in pivotal roles. Dhanush is bankrolling the project apart from playing the main lead and directing it.
