Dhanush is all set to return to the big screen with Kuberaa, one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Directed by Shekar Kammula, the film features Akkineni Nagarjuna in a pivotal role and boasts a powerful ensemble cast.
The team has officially kickstarted promotions with the release of the first single, “Poyiraa Mama”. Sung by Dhanush himself in Telugu and composed by the ever-reliable Devi Sri Prasad, the song is rich in depth and emotion. Penned by Bhaskar Bhatla, the lyrics explore themes of death and funerals – an unusual yet thought-provoking direction for a mainstream release.
Despite its somber theme, the track carries a hauntingly beautiful vibe that’s bound to resonate with listeners and climb music charts. Dhanush’s expressive moves, choreographed by Jani Master, perfectly complement the song’s intensity.
Rashmika Mandanna stars as the female lead, while Jim Sarbh makes his presence felt in a key role. Produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt. Ltd., respectively, Kuberaa is set to hit screens in multiple languages on June 20, 2025.
