Not just at the box office collections, Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge is also on track to create an all-time record in Hindi in terms of footfalls (number of tickets sold). According to trade reports, the film crossed 3 crore footfalls in India by its second Monday.
Post-pandemic, Dhurandhar 2 has become the sixth original Hindi film to cross this mark, after Gadar 2, Jawan, Stree 2, Chhaava, and Dhurandhar 1. Among these, Dhurandhar Part 1 leads the race with 3.55 crore footfalls, and the sequel is set to surpass that by a big margin.
The highest footfalls for a film in Hindi post-pandemic is Pushpa 2, with nearly 4 crores, and Dhurandhar: The Revenge is steadily heading towards that mark. According to Box Office India, the film has the potential to hit 5 crore footfalls in its full run, including all versions, which is insane, to say the least. Both films combined would sell more than 8 crore tickets, an achievement of the highest order.
