Sabari is an upcoming pan-Indian movie starring the versatile actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the titular role. With debutant Anil Katz donning the director’s hat, the movie is confirmed to arrive in theaters on May 3, 2024, amidst decent buzz.

During a recent interview, Anil Katz revealed details about Sabari. Talking about Sabari’s journey, he mentioned, “The idea for Sabari came to me about 4-5 years ago. It stemmed from the concept of something becoming life-threatening when loved to the fullest. It is a mother-daughter drama that will captivate viewers. Perhaps, the title came from the Ramayana, where Sabari’s character waited for years for Lord Ram. Our film is a reflection of how pure Sabari’s love for Ram is and attributes it to Varalaxmi garu’s character’s love for her daughter.”

Sabari has created significant buzz among audiences, thanks to well-made promotions. Produced by Mahendra Nath Kondla under the banner of Maha Movies and presented by Maharshi Kondla, Sabari features a talented ensemble cast including Ganesh Venkatraman, Shashank, Mime Gopi, Sunayana, Rajashree Nair, and others. Gopi Sundar serves as the music composer for this highly anticipated movie.
