Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya (ASSA) is one of the best detective films made in Telugu cinema. It built a strong fan following over time and became a special film in Naveen Polishetty’s career.
It has been more than six years since the film was released, and many viewers have been expecting a sequel, as the story offers clear scope for continuation. Rumours about a sequel recently intensified, prompting the makers to issue an official clarification.
“Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya is a collective effort of each and every person involved in the film. The production house will make an official announcement about the sequel when the time is right. Kindly avoid speculation,” said director Swaroop RSJ, who is currently working on a film with Siddhu Jonnalagadda.
At present, the sequel is not officially confirmed. The makers have indicated that any update will come directly from the production house, Swadharm Entertainment, once plans are finalized. Until then, stay tuned for further updates.
