The recently released trailer of Ramayana has taken the internet by storm, generating massive buzz around what is being hailed as one of Indian cinema’s biggest cinematic events. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the mythological epic stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash in the lead roles, with Namit Malhotra producing the film on a monumental scale.
It is already known that Sony Pictures Entertainment has come on board as the global distributor for the film. The latest update is that the studio has officially announced the worldwide release date of Ramayana: Part One.
The makers have confirmed that Ramayana: Part One will release on November 6, 2026, in multiple Indian languages, including Telugu. Filmed exclusively for IMAX, the epic will also be released in several premium large-screen formats, promising a grand theatrical experience.
Mounted on a massive budget, the film also features Sunny Deol, Ravie Dubey, Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Indira Krishnan, and several other noted actors in pivotal roles.
Produced by Namit Malhotra, with Yash serving as co-producer, Ramayana: Part One features songs composed by AR Rahman and an original background score by Hans Zimmer.
