Japan is a film that Karthi had pinned a lot of hopes on as he was playing a very crazy character for the first time in his career. The film was released today to a very mixed word of mouth.
The occupancy for Japan was only 50% and as the word of mouth was dull, the evening and night shows did not see any growth in occupancy in Telugu states. The day-one collection is going to be just about okay.
As there is no other big Telugu film that has come out, Japan will see decent occupancy on the weekend. JIgarthanda Double X is yet another Tamil dubbed film that has opened to decent talk but the occupancy is not that great.
As there is a long weekend this Diwali, these two films will be benefitted big time. We need to see how these films will fare this weekend. Watch this space for more box office updates.
