The much-awaited sequel, Drishyam 3, starring Mohanlal, was initially planned for a grand theatrical release on April 2. However, the makers are now reportedly considering a change in the release date.
The reason for this move is the upcoming elections in Kerala, scheduled for April 9. With the election atmosphere expected to intensify in the days leading up to the polls, the team feels it may affect promotions and the film’s theatrical run.
Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the film is one of the most anticipated Malayalam releases. The makers are reportedly exploring a new release date to ensure a smooth, distraction-free release for the much-awaited thriller. An official confirmation is yet to be made in this regard.
