After delivering three straight blockbusters with Simha, Legend, and Akhanda, actor Balakrishna and director Boyapati Sreenu have joined forces with each other for the fourth time. Their upcoming movie, a sequel to Akhanda, went on floors recently during the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj.
And here’s an exciting buzz. Apparently, at the Maha Kumbh, Boyapati Sreenu had canned a few montages as a lead for Balayya’s introduction scene in Akhanda 2. Sources say that Balayya’s electrifying intro scene will offer a goosebumps-inducing experience for his fans. After wrapping up the Maha Kumbh schedule, Boyapati Sreenu was recently spotted in Gudimetla Village near Nandigama of the NTR district. He scouted for suitable locations to shoot some crucial scenes in Akhanda 2.
Akhanda 2 is being produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner. Balayya’s younger daughter Tejaswini is presenting this high-budget entertainer. Thaman is the film’s music composer. Akhanda 2 is confirmed to hit theaters worldwide on September 25, 2025.
