Fan shows are always an exciting experience. The euphoria you get while you watch a big hero film amidst huge crowds is something else altogether. But this has become a huge headache for exhibitors these days.
Today, fans in Chennai tore the screen while watching Dhanush’s new film Thiru. As Dhanush was also watching the show with the fans, the euphoria was something else.
But once Dhanush left, the crowds got even more excited and tore open the screen and upset the theater owners big time.
This is not the first time that this has happened as a few days back, fans damaged the screen and seats in a theater in Kakinada forcing the association to take a decision not to host any fan shows hereafter.
Fans enjoying special shows has been a long time custom in both Telugu states. But with tense situations and losses for exhibitors, this tradition is surely in the fear of being called off soon.
