Fauzi Controversy: Subhas Chandra Bose’s Family Seeks Apology From Makers

A special glimpse from Prabhas’ Fauzi was released recently and received a good response from fans and audiences. However, a scene in the video has now sparked controversy.

The glimpse shows Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose introducing Prabhas’ character to Adolf Hitler. Netaji’s grandnephew, Chandra Kumar Bose, objected to this scene, saying it makes Netaji look like a sidekick to a fictional character.

He also felt that the scene makes Netaji’s meeting with Hitler look like a casual introduction. According to him, Netaji met Hitler as a political leader seeking support for India’s freedom struggle, and the meeting should be shown with the right context and respect.

The family has reportedly asked the makers to apologise and portray Netaji respectfully. Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad also criticised the way the meeting was shown.

The makers’ response to the controversy is now awaited. Mythri Movie Makers is producing this big-budget war action drama. Imanvi, Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Jayaprada and others play key roles. Vishal Chandrasekhar is composing the music. Fauzi is scheduled to release in theatres on March 19, 2027.
