Maverick director James Cameron’s recent outing Avatar: The Way of Water, a sequel to the 2009s Hollywood blockbuster finally locked its OTT release date in India.

For the unversed, the movie was already available to stream in India but one needs to depend on non-OTT platforms – iTunes, Google Play and YouTube – and has to pay some buy/rent the film to watch the flick. Now, the news is that Avatar 2 will be premiered on Disney Plus Hotstar on June 7, 2023, in English, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.

The third highest-grossing film in the world stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Kate Winslet, and Stephen Lang in significant roles. Produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau, the blockbuster has Simon Fraglen’s music.
