Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest outing, Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel, is off to a good start at the box office. According to makers, within four days of its release, the film has crossed Rs. 240 crores at the global box office.
These collections can be attributed to Rajinikanth’s undeniable charisma and the powerful performances of the ensemble cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, and Manju Warrier. The growing demand for Vettaiyan has led to an increase in showcasing, with the film now playing in over 7250 theaters.
The Telugu version, Vettaiyan The Hunter, has also received a good response. Vettaiyan is distributed across two Telugu states by Asian Suresh Entertainments LLP in a prestigious manner. Srilakshmi Movies has released the film in the Ceded region. Sony Music has bagged the film’s audio rights.
Producer Subaskaran of Lyca Productions thanked fans for all their love. Critics have lauded the film’s exploration of justice, power, and corruption. Beyond its commercial success, Vettaiyan has also garnered critical acclaim for its nuanced portrayal of complex themes, including the challenges faced by students and educators in India.
