Among Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming films, OG is the most anticipated one without an iota of doubt. After OG, fans are interested in the period action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which marks Pawan Kalyan’s straight film in a long time. Due to multiple delays and the remake factor, there isn’t enough anticipation for Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
Yesterday, Ustaad Bhagat Singh director Harish Shankar attended Dragon’s Telugu pre-release event, where he revealed juicy information about the Pawan Kalyan starrer. Initially, Dragon director Ashwath Marimuthu said he wished to make a powerful film with Pawan in which the actor would sit on top of a moving car.
Harish Shankar responded to Ashwath Marimuthu, saying, “I already designed one such scene in Ustaad Bhagat Singh, where Pawan Kalyan sir travels by sitting on top of a car. You can term this ‘Harish Leaks, ‘ just like ‘Chiru Leaks.’ This particular sequence will surely strike a chord with fans.”
This particular scene is drawn inspiration from Pawan’s real life. The actor-politician once traveled by sitting on top of his car to meet Ippatam residents when the then government tried to restrict him. Those clips ruled social media back then, and Harish looks to recreate this iconic moment in his film.
Harish Shankar is known for presenting remakes in the best possible way by adding several changes to the original. However, his last outing, Mr. Bachchan, a Remake of Ajay Devgn’s Raid, was a box office bomb.
The filmmaker is now looking to bounce back with Ustaad Bhagat Singh, which is based on Thalapathy Vijay’s Theri. With his latest statement, Harish grabbed the eyeballs and again brought Ustaad Bhagat Singh into the limelight.
