Critically acclaimed director Shekhar Kammula, has always been in the limelight for his soft spoken films. He has now changed gears and has come up with an thriller in the form of Anamika.
This bilingual film is the remake of the Hindi super hit Vidya Balan starrer Kahaani, and features Nayathara in the lead role. The trailer was launched a little while ago, and speaking on this occasion, Shekhar said that a lot of changes have been made for the remake but the basic plot will remain the same.
Shekhar also revealed that Nayanthara wont be showcased as a pregnant lady, as was with the case of Vidya Balan in Kahaani. Anamika is being co-produced by Endemol India, Logline Productions and Select Media Holdings and is slated to hit the screens in February.
