King of Entertainment Sree Vishnu’s Comrade Kalyan is set to release this Friday. Mahima Nambiar plays the female lead. Directed by Janakiram Marella, Comrade Kalyan is set against the backdrop of the Andhra–Odisha border in 1992.
Today, the makers launched the theatrical trailer, and it promises a fun ride. The film explores the life of a Naxalite who goes into hiding and lives secretly in a small town near the Andhra-Odisha border with his family. There he falls in love with an Odia girl, and the beginning portions of the trailer focus on the lead pair’s love track, with the language becoming a barrier to communication.
The latter portions suggest a police search operation for the protagonist. Even the manhunt sequences are filled with comedy punches, suggesting that the film will have a fun tone throughout. Sree Vishnu once again appears in his element, while Radhika, Sudarshan, and Shine Tom Chacko play other key roles.
Presented by Kona Venkat, Comrade Kalyan is produced by Venkata Krishna Karnati and Seetha Karnati under the Skanda Vahana Motion Pictures LLP banner. Vijay Bulganin is composing the tunes.
